The Lakers would like to offer him a 2 year offer worth $1,500,000 with a team option for a 3rd year.
1st year: $500,000 2nd year: $1,000,000 3rd year: $1,000,000
Total: $1,500,000
TOTALS (before signed): $87,768,513 -- $78,495,870 -- $29,870,640
With the loss of Vujacic, Desmond would be our main SG/SF off the bench. Going on 32, we would think he would want a shot at winning a ring, which would be given to him.

We would like to match as we are weak at SF with the loss of Salmons, We feel Desmond can play key minutes with this team.

Detroit, as far as I can tell, you have Salmons on your team.
Anyway...We would like a 2 year contract. If there is a 3rd year, that 3rd year has to be a player option.
As it stands, we're leaning towards Detroit. Lakers, you have Luke Walton (73) who backs up SF already, plus Adam Morrison (70) just one point worse than Desmond, who also plays SF. Detroit has just Marquis Daniels (70) as competition for playing time.
Still, we'll wait to see a 2-year offer come up, hopefully from both teams, and then make our decision.

1st year: $500,000 2nd year: $1,000,000 3rd year: $1,250,000
Total: $2,7500,000
TOTALS (before signed): $87,768,513 -- $78,495,870 -- $29,870,640
Desmond would be the one backing up at the 2, also seeing some time at the 3.. I would hope that a better title shot, as well as the fact that we bid for him first plays into consideration.

I'm not known for trading free agents I sign, I hardly ever do.

Desmond still thinks he has some time left in the league. He's going to go to Detroit where he can get more Playing Time, plus he gets more money from Detroit.
Detroit, Desmond looks forward to helping your team out.
